Shadows

You know, I always thought they could have done with more poltergeist-y episodes. I guess those are hard to investigate? But I think they're fun.

For such a bland episode, there is a lot of fun stuff going one here. I mean other than the two mysterious CIA-type folks who call M & S onto the case and then don't bother to talk to them at all. They piss me off.

But on the plus side, there's lots of this going on:

And this too:

Really, I'm happy anytime he wants to invade her personal space...
And also whenever Scully wants to tease Mulder and hive him a hard time about his theories. "You mean how Carrie got even at the prom?"

I also enjoy how sympathetic they are to the ... can I call her the victim? I don't really know what to call her. Anyway, they seem to be more sympathetic to her than the anyone else they've encountered so far. I don't know if it's her sad relationship to her dead boss, but...

It really surprised me (and Mulder!) when Scully is trying to get the girl to cooperate and says something totally romantic along the lines of "You've been given the chance to tell him again. Take it. Tell him you love him, by showing him, by... helping us finish his unfinished business. Lauren, how will you ever be able to rest if he never can?"

And I don't know why, but I always thought their exchange at the end was very sweet; Mulder has been to Philly hundreds of times but has never seen the Liberty Bell. Now he wants to go (even though Scully says it's just a "big bell with a big crack in it, and you have to stand in a long line"). I just think it's nice that he wants to do something fun outside of work :)

"I wonder how late it's open?"
